“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”—John Wesley (via girlwithoutwings)
After being tumblr MIA for awhile, I’m finally unpacked (after three days of living in boxes)!! Im still and have been busy nonstop for formal recruitment, but its all so worth it :) I’m so excited to have my final class of new members, but I can’t believe my term is almost coming to a close. AND it’s senior year?! This year will blow the memories of past ones out of the water, I guarantee it :)
Sadly, my back-to-back travels are finally over, but the memories I have from both trips live on in my thoughts continuously. My time in Korea was a wonderful preview for hopefully another trip later on, and my time traveling around Japan was breathtakingly beautiful from all senses. New York was so alive and captivating - I could spend a whole month there and still have stuff I didn’t have a chance to do. And lastly, Boston has a dear place in my heart, a fondness that grew ten-fold with this recent revisit. I absolutely adore Wellesley College. The people, the history, the scenery, even the ever-changing climate - I realized that Wellesley is my dream school. I love everything about the college. I don’t regret my time at UCI by saying that, because being in Irvine gave me great things as well. Things I would have never expected - a wonderful boyfriend, a sorority, and a handful of true friends. Yet, I can’t help but feel compelled to fixate on the lure of the east coast and its colleges so befitting to my personality. Maybe i should have applied more and considered the east coast as an option when i was 18. If only…that’s all I will ever have of that dream, of that opportunity I missed out on. But I know that “what if..?” I have dancing around my head is so minuscule compared to the unforgettable memories of UCI that make SoCal my permanent home.
And with that, goodnight all - signing out, from back where I belong.
- see Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway
- see Justin Timberlake perform a set with FreeSol at JT’s 901 tequila release party
- see the set for a scene in The Avengers (aka “Group Hug” -____-) at Grand Central
- go to the MET and KTown with one of my favorite Sigma Kappas, Lauren Kelley
- and all that touristy jazz :)
All in three days! Oh NY, if you promise to still be this exciting, I might just have to move !
